MTG has program meetings the second Thursday of every month, except December, when we typically have our annual Holiday Party. Our program meetings are held at the Radnor Lake Visitor Center In Nashville, Tennessee, and concern educational and conservation oriented issues such as:
Accounts of, and information on, backpacking, canoeing/kayaking, or biking expeditions
Fun presentations by experts on attracting songbirds, wildflower slideshows, vegetarian cooking
Lectures on rehabilitation of injured birds, trail building, forest watching, and much, much more
A lawyer's, or other professional's personal account of an issue of conservation in areas of energy conservation, water quality, air pollution, forestry preservation, urban sprawl & population concerns, etc. |
Our monthly Executive Committee Meetings (otherwise known as the Excom) are held the fourth Tuesday of every month. During this general conservation and business meeting, we discuss the following:
Hot! issues | |
Plan strategy | |
Steer local campaigns and conservation committees
Review the progress of green legislation
and conduct the general business of Group. |
These meetings are open to the public and attending them is an excellent way to become more involved, or just learn more about environmental issues, and/or develop your activism interests.
